 Jon Hall's Roadster

If you know the Greening XL27 Roadster (click here if you don't), you know about Shadow Rods, the company from Saginaw, Michigan that produces vintage Ford roadster bodies to incredibly high quality standards. Roomier and better-built than the originals, these bodies are made to help build Ford roadster-based hot rods that are excellent drivers as well as stunning lookers.

For this build, GAC partnered directly with Shadow Rods to build another one of their bodies into a rolling showcase of their own for some other excellent products that they're introducing, and while we can't give all the details yet, we will say for now that if you're a Flathead lover, you're going to love what they've got coming. In the meantime, we're happy to talk a little about the design and build of the overall project. As is the case with many GAC customs, this roadster features Greening designed and machined, custom wheels and spinners, suspension and interior components and myriad other one-off built parts.

Based on their track nose roadster, which is a stretched and widened version of the original, the plan was to create a car with authentic, jewel-like beauty and excellent road manners, one that can help turn a daily drive into a virtual time warp, albeit one with room, comfort and wonderful driving dynamics. It also competed as a finalist for the 2023 AMBR Award.
